Ginaville has been practicing martial arts for over 20 years. She holds a 3rd degree black belt in Shotokan Karate and a 1st degree black belt in Shorinji-Ryu Karate. As a karate instructor, she loves that karate encompasses physical, mental, and spiritual training and wants to instill in her students the importance of discipline, leadership, and compassion. She incorporates her personal training education and martial arts background to create exercise programs that efficiently support training and helps avoid common injuries in karate.
As a personal trainer, she enjoys helping people transform their sedentary habits into more active, healthier, and happier lifestyles. In her spare time, Ginaville is a volunteer coach for the American Heart Association and is an RRCA-certified running coach. She loves her black Lab, Connor, dancing, sports, and is a huge San Francisco Giants fan.
Ginaville has been working with me for approximately 6 months. First as a volunteer coach for the American Heart Association (AHA) Start Training Program helping me prepare for the Western Pacific Half Marathon Event. Having benefitted from her dedication to my success in that program it occurred to me that as a personal trainer, she is someone I could trust to help me reach my lifestyle and fitness goals.
At the beginning of our personal training sessions, we talked about my goals and she has designed a program to meet those goals and adjusts the program based on my progressing fitness level. Personally she is a very positive and supportive individual that has a sincere desire to share her expertise to help people reach their goals. From what I've been able to learn about her, Gin has personal experience with taking a dream and fostering it into a livable goal and she can help you transform your desires into measurable accomplishments that you can attain.
Working with Ginaville has strengthened my core, upper, lower body and balance. She makes sure the exercises are effective, that I'm engaging the right muscles, and designs and models personalized adaptations. We work our way through new challenges and make adjustments to ensure I'm engaging the correct muscles.We focus on quality of form over quantity of reps. She also fosters independence in executing proper performance, and ultimately isn't that what we all want--to be the owners of our success and growth.
