I take great pride as a former collegiate athlete, exercise science researcher, and Master of Exercise Physiology alumni. I like to bring an all-around approach based on the latest scientific principles, and 5+ years of experience to get you to your goals in the fastest way possible, and in the safest manner. Most importantly, I want fitness to be a lifestyle for you and to become the best version of yourself through fitness.
I believe we all have an inner athlete within ourselves, and I am here to bring that out, encourage, and motivate you every step of the way because I understand the fitness journey is not an easy one. Once you get there though, it will be all worth it. I can promise you that!

When I started to train with Jose I was in good shape, but definitely needed help with running faster. It’s funny, you know, I’ve been a professional Kinesiologist and a military service member for years without fully understanding how to run faster to pass my Army Physical Fitness Test. I knew Jose had in-depth scientific knowledge and the practical personal experience in running performance so I put aside my current strength training program to focus my cardiovascular fitness with Jose.
What I particularly liked about Jose was that he worked with my schedule and limitations. It took some time getting used to as the mileage increased but Jose immediately changed things up to help me adapt. It wasn’t long before the day came to do my Army Physical Fitness Test. Not only did I pass, I exceeded my expectations in the time I ran 2 miles (From 20 minutes to 15:20 minutes). I’d recommend Jose to anybody.

My positive experience with Jose, who was my personal trainer and mentor has been great and very professional. Jose help me build strength, speed, agility, but most importantly my endurance. I am a soccer player and I’ve been playing soccer since I was one year old. Being a soccer player you know that you must run, but Jose just didn't want me to run. Jose, didn't want me just to run but he challenge me and tested my limits in running. This help me improve my running by large margins. He brought my mile time down from 6:00 minutes to 5:33. Jose really thought me what being an athlete truly is.
I remember a particular run on Niles river where Jose wanted me to run my last mile of a mile interval workout at 5:30 pace per mile. He told me that if I put my mind on the time and goal, I can do it. He made me believe I can do that and I did it running next to him until the end.

He carefully monitors how I do each rep, knowing how far to push me to get results but keeping out of the injury zone. He's also friendly and upbeat, even on Saturday mornings. Highly recommended!
